LeMieux Crystal Cooler Mesh Chill Cool Rug Water Activated Fast Surface Cooling

Clever water-activated rug designed to aid gentle surface cooling, to be used in conjunction with other cooling methods such as rehydration, shade, targeted cold water hosing and walking to prevent overheating and dehydration. The rug can also be used in the stable and other situations where you'd use a cooler, for short periods for a longer lasting cooling effect.

Unique water-reactive crystals within the rug liner pockets swell and retain cold when soaked in water. The rug is not fully lined, to aid in evaporation and breathability. The lightweight breathable mesh shell fabric encourages airflow to aid in heat dissipation and evaporation.

Before first use, soak for 2 hours to activate the crystals. This rug can be re-activated multiple times by soaking in water for up to 1 hour. We recommend soaking in water at 15° or lower for optimum cooling effect.

Check the progress of your horse's cool down regularly during use. Remove the rug from the horse once the cooling crystals have reached ambient body temperature - the time this takes will vary according to the climate and horse's condition.

Not suitable for turnout. Never leave your horse unattended during use.
