Help soothe skin irritations gently and naturally

New Skin Soother is a natural cooling gel to help calm and soothe skin irritations caused by insect bites, chafing, rubs, or sunburn. Skin Soother cooling gel is ideal for:

  • Rub their mane or tail
  • Suffer from sunburn
  • Suffer from sensitive, dry or flaky skin
  • Prone to mud fever
  • Require gentle relief from insect or midge bites

Skin Soother is made with active ingredients that have been carefully selected to help soothe and calm skin irritations gently and naturally, including Aloe Vera, Spearmint, Chamomile and Calendula.

Skin Soother contains no ingredients on the FEI list of banned substances, effective January 2018

How to use

For animal use only

Use within 12 months after opening.

Squeeze a small amount onto clean fingertips and gently massage into the roots of the hairs, so that the gel is in contact with the skin.

Apply at least once a day or more often as required to provide relief.

For external use only. Do not apply to the eye area, cuts or open wounds. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with clean warm water and seek medical advice. We recommend a small patch test prior to initial use. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.

Test on small area of skin on the neck around the size of two pence piece. Check the area for any signs of an adverse reaction, ie. swelling or irritation and wash off immediately with warm water if necessary. Leave for 48 hours before continuing.

A) There are no special storage instructions for Skin Soother however we would recommend keeping the lid closed and stored in a cool dry area. Do not store in direct sunlight.

Q) Can I use Skin Soother on other animals?

A) Yes Skin Soother can be used other animals, ie dogs, cats, rabbits, sheep.

Q) Can I use the same tube of Skin Soother on multiple horses and conditions?

A) Due to its design, the same tube of Skin Soother can be used for multiple horses and conditions, however we recommend washing your hands or using different gloves between horses and conditions, to prevent cross contaminate.

Q) What happens if my horse licks the applied area?

A) The Spearmint in Skin Soother can be appealing to horses. The ingredients are not toxic but you may have to reapply Skin Soother to the affected area

Q) Is Skin Soother safe to use on competition horses?

A) Skin Soother contains no prohibited substances listed by the FEI.

Q) Skin Soother contains Limonene – what is this?

A) Limonene is a naturally occurring compound found within spearmint oil. A very small handful of people can have an allergic reaction to this compound.

A) If your horse has a reaction, wash the affected area with plenty of warm water and discontinue use immediately
